About Ram Niwas Bagh
This garden was planned by Maharaja Ram Sigh in the 19th century as a famine relief project, this extensive park consists of a zoo, aviary, herbarium, museum and sports complex. An added attraction is the Albert Hall, designed by Sir Swinton Jacob, a British architect who created palaces for many rulers in Rajasthan. The main hall is home to an exquisite collection of sculptures, paintings, objects dart, natural history specimens, an Egyptian mummy and a beautiful Persian carpet.

Built by Sawai Raja Pratap Singh in the year 1868, this Garden was specially constructed to offer relief to the people of Jaipur from the drought that had taken over the state. It is believed that the total expense for constructing the Bagh was around four lakh rupees at that time.

The major attractions in the Bagh include Albert Hall, Zoological Garden and the other garden area. The foundation stone of the famous Albert Hall was laid in the year 1876 by Prince of Wales Prince Albert and it houses an amazing museum.

The Ram Niwas Bagh is located at the heart of the Jaipur city, which makes it easily commutable from all parts of Jaipur city. The place is at a convenient distance of nearly two kilometers from the center of the city at Badi Chaupar.
